Well here's mud in your eye! :)
I'm not actually sure why, but my dad used to say that before he drank a shot of whiskey.

I am a worker in a lab at an aluminum smelter that recently changed it main product from bars to bolts. We used to make high end quality aluminium that have ended in Motorola Razr, Ipod's, Audi's, Jaguars etc, made with green energy, but in the end we couldn't compete with cheap labour in Russia. Now we make bolt that get pressed like toothpaste into window frames and more stuff. A more expensive product that leaves more in the Icelandic economy. Our first bolts this spring actually did good in quality tests. But I won't bore anyone with more babble

I'm a Safety Professional. Basically a consultant. I interpret legislation and help contractors and their employees understand what they need to do to be in compliance. I work mostly in heavy industrial settings like mines, refineries, pulp mills, power stations, etc. After I retire I will never want to see another piece of steel for as long as I live.

For the OP....

Q: What's the difference between God and a TIG weldor?
A: God doesn't think he's a TIG weldor.

(FWIW, I'm a pretty darned good TIG welder myself ...)

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Nothing. Dont want a job at the moment.
But in the future I see myself attempting to make a living out of my music and drawing/painting art and my writting. Doesn't have to be the best paying job ever, just has to be enough to keep me under a shelter and buy some food.

I'm a plumber. Not a bad living. Sometimes gets in the way of my guitar playing. But, there is enough down time lately to concentrate on my "art".

BMW, they say you can teach a monkey to MIG weld....of course, monkeys are smart enough to stop after they get burned the first time. :)

but lets not turn this into a bad welding jokes thread, lol.... way too many of them to get into.

My hope/dream is to live off my artwork within the next five years or so... sculptures like my profile pic, to see them go here :
