Is that the same as American Subsonic strat?

The Fender VI?
What is the scale length for this guitar?
What was the factory shipped string set?

I believe this is more of a lighter A-A bass guitar than a baritone.
I could be wrong. Just interested.

the "subsonic" was just what fender used to name the series, it is still just a baritone guitar.
and the guitar in the photo I believe is a 30" scale bass VI with like 68-13 or 72-14 gauge strings. typically tuned to E-E one full octave lower than standard guitar tuning. technically it is still a baritone guitar not a bass, or maybe a short scale bass, either one.

Thanks, Bizzare.

I'm about to get a baritone guitar.
Checking out the Fender SubSonics, I can get ten new guitars for that price.
They are way too much for my first baritone. Nice looking.

The Baritone Guitar I'm seeking is a B-B, 24 frets, six strings, tremolo system,
hard shell case, 27"-29" scale (I am wondering about 30" scale but would like to do chords)
and have 11's or 12's set strings work with the intonation.

Toppscore 8)

Any wonder what would happen or if I could get a guitar
with factory 68-13 B-B six string set and
brought it down to 12's or 11's :?: :?: :?:

Can the "fretboard" buzzing still be avoided and better chord play be attained?
Toppscore :)

11's tuned to B on a baritone will feel about like 9's on a standard guitar.
what style of music are you aiming for?

I guess it will rattle quite a bit
But the longer the scale , the softer the string tension will feel. Says - .13s feels really soft on a 30''. This is a quick iPhone -shot of my Danelectro Dead on '67 - 29,96'' Cheap and cool

well I would recommend the newer telecaster baritone, but you want a tremolo... you could try the Gretsch Jet Baritone. http://www.guitarcenter.com/Gretsch-Gui ... pspn=pla&=

The Gretsch is one of several.
Nice looking baritone.
I believe it is a 29.5" scaled guitar.

Thanks for your thoughts :)
