Guitslinger, I'm a lefty and have taken lessons from over a half-dozen instructors over the years. Not ONE of them charged me more because I'm a southpaw. That is a very dubious practice...I'd drop that teacher like a hot potato.

At any rate, I totally applaud the extraordinarily thoughtful and generous gift you gave your young cousin. The world is that much of a better place because of it!

My guess is that the owners of the music store know nothing about what this instructor is doing because it would be a tremendously foolish gamble for an established music business to do such a thing as if it got out that they were doing such an unscrupulous thing their clientelle would plummet in number. The instructor is doing this on his own accord and no doubt pocketing the difference to increase his personal wealth. If I can get my cousin's OK I am going to the store's owners in person and outing this shyster and demanding that he repay every cent that he embezzled from her,of course if they are knowing participants I'll make it known to all my local musician friends-who are enormous in number- also other dealers and put it up on my Facebook page too, that would really deal them a very nasty blow.

I agree. It's hard to imagine a legitimate business engaging in such a discriminatory practice. Good luck in your efforts.

Nicely done Derek! As an earlier post noted, what goes around surely comes around, so, your Rick fund might just get a burst of excellent mojo for being excellent yourself, lol! :D
