Congrats on the new guitar! I've been looking at those Sonoran acoustics for a while, so I can't wait to here what you think of her.

As for songs,

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2WRnZU8eBF0
This song sounds much more complicated then it is. All of his songs are done on an acoustic guitar as well.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ldXFxtqKGmU&feature=fvst
This is a classic, and it's fun to play.

This song is a must.

Most importantly though, HAVE FUN! 8)

Somehow, I knew someone would bring up Wonderwall lol.

Anyways, Pink Floyd isn't really just music. It's scientific audio, as well, if that makes sense. You can't simply listen, you have to study, and find new things with each time you listen.

You can be loud on an acoustic, as for obnoxious I'd suggest wearing golfing pants
But here's a vid that may change your mind as to loud...

Claptons Tears in Heaven is a great acoustic song to learn, it's not too difficult, you get a bit of learning bassline and lead in the same song and it'd sound great on a roof.

Acoustic huh? Now you're talking.
Which Sonoran is it? There's a few on the site.
Does it have the pickup and mic?
They seem pretty decent anyway, these Fender budget acoustics 8)

It's the Fender Sonoran S It retails from $429.99-$499.99 (depending on where you shop), so 60% off isn't too bad.

That's the image of it. Not sure if you can see the pg mess up or not.

That's a great deal seeing as how the pick guard doesn't even look that badly discoloured. It kind of looks like a lava lamp, which is cool.

I just got another idea for a song to learn.

Love this film, love the song and the history as well.

Yea, I know, and if it really gets to me that much in the future, it probably wouldn't cost much to replace. It just kind of gives the guitar a nice personality as it is.

Also, I just calculated that in my head. It's actually about 62% or 63% off. I did a calculation that told me I bought it for 37% (decimals, depends on rounding) of what it's worth.

So that's under $200 even? Bargain.

You could try some Bright Eyes, most of their music is fairly simple musically, though the lyrics are pretty heavy at times.

Nevermind what the old timers say. I am a middle timer. Take your favorite songs, be it Ramones or whatever and turn them into your own acoustic verion. You never know how it'll turn out.
