Hi HP Hovercraft (and all)- sorry for my delay in replying...bizzy bizzy bizzy...but also wanted to check this out as much as possible (considering Internet "time"...!!).

So let me start by saying Thank you and "Great catch!" you are correct, sir.

As it turns out, the white witch hat knobs you are seeing are the "Amp style" knobs and not the "Guitar Style" knobs from the 60's.

I believe that the original mold for the "60's guitar style" no longer exists, hence the "amp style" knobs being used.

So anyway, we're appreciative of you (as well as some Offset Forums folks) pointing it out.
We ARE checking into it further. I'll leave it at that for now. (more as it appears)
Thanks again!

Best regards,
rob

Here we go....just like the Custom Shop logo change and back...another Fender upside down airmail stamp. You change those knobs and you will have created a rarity. Would have made more sense to manufacture a new mold to have a period correct guitar.

Tsk..Tsk..Tsk. ''Drat those detailed oriented and trivia smart fans of ours. Can't slip around on them!!

Hi Rob,

I played the 56' and 59' a week or so ago and really liked both of them. The neck on the 59' was great and seems different than other FSR 59 necks. I like this new one much more :)

A 56' in Sonic Blue would look awesome! Just wanted to throw my .02 in.

:D

Yo Rob!!

The mailman just dropped off the December issue of Vintage Guitar Magazine and I just finished reading the articles on the new guitars. [but not before I read my Letter To The Editor about how the '62 Jag came to our band]....Sorry....gotta have priorities. 8)

Two articles no less...one by Wolf Marshall on a close look at the process, and a review article by Phil Feser the last line of which reads..."The challenge lies in not flat-out gushing over them. Not too shabby....Not too shabby. Looking forward to checking them out at the new GC in Coconut Creek. Certainly do have some spare time these days.

Doc!! Thanks for the heads up on the articles. and of course the Letter to the Editor ;O).
I still have "a thing" about reading magazines at work lol.....I'll have to pick that up for dinner reading. Personally, I'm waiting for the official ZZDoc review, though.
Have a rockin weekend!

All the best,
rob

Rob,

I can see that this has been asked many, many... many times already, and I sincerely apologize if this comes off as repetitive and/or irksome, but are there any immanent or intended bass models getting introduced in this revamped line?

Hi brandnwork,

Cheers!
