I hate to break it to you, but society is secularizing more and more. I'm not for censorship. I am very liberal. I actually am pro gun as well, as long as it's regulated more than it is now.

There's also a flipside to your anger with conservatism that I'm not even going to get into.

Actually the community flags content. If the community doesn't find it appropriate. (a lot of it is parents) YouTube has to act on it to make keep the community happy. Kind of how they don't allow pornography or death videos on YouTube, it's the same principal, only less extreme. I'm sure a lot of flagging is done with the best intentions, but isn't executed very well. And it's not just right wing, or conservative themed videos/music getting flagged. The Amazing Atheist, and a lot of rap/hip hop videos are flagged due to their content. That's another thing. The content of the video has a lot to do with how it's rated. I'm sure not everything by Skynard is flagged, but just one song every now and then isn't the end of the world.

I'm 54 years old. I think I have lived long enough to have gained some wisdom.

Why isn't this flagged?

Because the community of people who actually look up ICP regularly are the scum of the earth.

They're a "gang" based in music that dresses up as clowns. They're generally violent, outspoken, and very dimwitted. They're scum.

By cussing, promoting hitting women and in the mean time, the big You Tube allows this, but limits American values.

People with YouTube accounts. That's how you flag or rate videos.

Or for the ICP gang thing, you join by looking like a douche.

Good song! The foundation of the U.S. was built on God and Guns and the right to believe or not and possess firearms if desired. Legislative zealots just remove the mortar weakening the foundation which will cause the structure to fail over time. We are seeing that now!

I don't even own a gun. I'm pissed because one of the newest forms of free speech, the internet is being regulated by a handful of wimps while the majority would have no problem with that video.

The same internet where individuals regularly speak for the "majority"?

I have a problem with that "video" just like I have with a number of other "videos" like it on youtube... it's not a "video" at all, it's a picture of an album cover with a song playing. That bugs me.

I'm all about free speech, and I don't have any issues with the content of that song... it does bother me that a band, any band, would write a song obviously for the purpose of pushing political "hot buttons" and generally being divisive... but it's thier right to sing about what they want to, and I wouldn't have flagged the video, even though I don't care for the song or the band.

I don't like how being a Christian gun owner has become the only thing synonymous with being patriotic... I don't own a gun, nor do I believe in any all-powerful universe-creating diety, but I still love my country. I support both the death penalty and a woman's right to choose, and my opinion on gun control is that every citizen should be issued a handgun and a concealed carry permit at age 18, after completing a required government sponsored training course. I don't follow or believe in any organized religion, but I strongly support the freedom of religion, for all religions. I have no problems with gays getting married or serving in the military, and I am strongly in favor of building a fence at the border and deporting ALL illegal immigrants. So where does that put me in the general discussion? Definitely not the "majority"... but I am also annoyed by the video being flagged.

I say live and let live... I hate censorship and all forms of political correctness... If you're offended by something, don't watch it. If you don't want your kids to see it... tough, they're going to see it somewhere else when you're not around, no matter how hard you try to monitor and control thier internet use. Be a parent and educate them well enough to make thier own informed judgements and interpretations of these sorts of things, because in this day and age, they're going to see everything, everywhere... better to prepare them for the world than to shelter them from it, IMO. And yes, I have two children. My 4 year old can identify most of our political leaders and tell you why she likes or dislikes them. (So far, she seems to lean to the left.) She also knows most of the "bad words" I use that she can't say until she's older, and she knows the only reason she can't is because other people might be offended by them. She doesn't think that's fair... but she complies. I know people who never cuss around thier kids out of fear of providing a "bad influence", and thier kids get sent home with bad notes from school because the kid heard a curse word somewhere else and repeated it in school... so who's the better parent?

I know, I've rambled on, and gotten quite a bit off my point... but yeah, censorship sucks. And so does that song, IMO.

I'm not sure why you still fail to understand that if nobody flags it, Youtube does nothing. For that video to have been restricted, they would need to have gotten MULTIPLE (as in, thousands) of flags.

I'd had my suspicions reading the rest of the topic, but this told me everything I need to know.
