Schecters are for Nu-Metal dudes and Nu-Metal sux! No thanks...I'll let Papa Roach play those and I'll stick to my Fenders.

I am going to have to strongly disagree with the statement that Schecter is for Nu Metal

I gotta agree with Metalhead. I'm not a Schecter fan but no guitar is limited to just one genre. It may excell at one more then others, but that doesn't mean it's only good for just that. I'm sure a good jazz guitar player could make it sound nice and jazzy.

Agreed, its not the instrument that sets the instruments limitations, its the player that usually sets limitations.

I mean I will agree that lately a lot of their guitars have been more targeted at metal (and thats just all genres of metal in general, not nu metal)

However, they still have plenty of guitars that aren't targetted at metal, such as the C-1 Classic, the holywood series, the stargazer series, the stilleto series... need I go on?

And as said above, its the user, not the guitar

Unless you find a lucky one, personally I think Schecters lack tone so i'd go with Fender or Jackson.
