Do you buy your strings just by the pack when you need them or do you buy in bulk to save money?

If I change the strings on my guitars once every 3-4 months I have enough strings to last me 2 years!

I buy single packs every now and then, but I actually buy single strings more often, due to the odd gauges I use. Buying in bulk for me is just not practical, it would be a waste of money.

They also must be Ernie Ball, I won't buy nothing else, no exceptions.

I had found a deal on eBay and got about 60 packs of the strings I use to make my own sets for $90.00 shipped to me. I was not going to pass that deal up.

Bulk! I get the Fender SuperBullets in bulk because I break strings on a daily basis. I have no touch other then rough! I also get Gibosn Les Paul Strings in bulk, although I don't change as often, my LP does not get the playing time my strats and tele do. Go figure!

A 10 pack of D'Adarrio XL110s lasts me about a year. I haven't broken a guitar string in over 30 years.

I made a deal with a local store that I can make my own arrangement of gauges of Ernie Ball Slinky's for the price of a normal 010 pack.
I normally bougth in bulk, until I started using uncommon gauge-combinations.
I change strings about every two to three weeks.

I buy in bulk for the most part. I buy the bottom e string in separate, used to go through that string 2 every week.

I've been buying either a 3, 6 or 10 pack of D'Adarrio XL120s.

I still occasionally break an E string when re-stringing!

I buy bulk Slinkies (11's), I use em on a few guitars and I change strings once a week usually. I get my 12 strings in bulk too, but only change them every month since it's a pain in the $@!. Other strings are single.

I usually just by them one pack at a time, except last time I bought two because they were giving away free Elixer t-shirts for buying two packs of Elixer strings.

Bulk, because you get better prices per set that way, and storage isn't a problem since they are in what are supposedly seaed bags (at least the DAddarios I use are)....

I'm using GHS Boomers... buy them by the pack as I need them. I don't usually break any strings, being a studio musician. But they do get old over time and need to be replaced.

10 pack of D'Adarrio, I like the sealed sets.
