We had my youngest grandson, 8yr old William, last week for two days, and he sang me lyrics to a song he had written while playing his drums. He had about 80% of the lyrics, and I added the guitars, bass & arranged the drums. He didn't play drums, just the vocal track, which he did in one take. The song was recorded and mixed on my BOSS BR-800 by me.

Guys, thanks for your kind words. We really did have fun working on the song. I just wished that I had videoed him singing that take. Of course he did several practice runs before we recorded, but he did that vocal track in one take (Thundercats was coming on the Cartoon Network and he wanted to see it).

The song is in 'C', and I tuned his guitar to 'Open C' so that he could play slide, but that was taking too long, and his mom was coming to pick him soon.

We also had mapped out a storyboard for a video that we'll create for the song using MovieStarPlanet http://www.moviestarplanet.com/, he's doing that at home.

Plus, I sent him the stem tracks, he's going to add drums, he has a set of Roland HD-3 V-Drums. I'm not sure when all this will happen becuase school started today for him.
