sorry if this has been done before, i'm new here...
just thought it would be interesting to hear some original (or not) ideas on what you call any partscasters you have...
when i got my first guitar i called it the frankenstrat for a while until i found out that was the van halen guitar.... then i took to calling it a rat-o-caster.

I'm building a "black strat" I always liked the look of Gilmours strat, not building an exact replica or anything, just like the look of black on black with white p'ups and knobs, call it the floyd-o-caster. My son and I are building what will be his first electric strat, perhaps I'll call it a brat-o-caster!

This one is called ROCKBITCH, it's a "Sharpie-Caster".

This one's simply called STEVIE because it has an SRV signature neck. It's a Mojo-Caster.

This is my Big Hairy Tone-caster....

Image

... 32 different pickup combos(*) and an on-board Wilkinson Mid-boost, hence the name.

Enjoy!

Andy

(*) Might have to double check that as I've swapped the pickups since that pic was taken...

smokin' frets- did you do the artwork? that's awesome. does that say "trouble" around the volume? lol
andy- that thing looks like it sounds beautiful. if soundcloud ever starts working (think i've got a computer virus) i'll be sure to go listen to your tunes... any of them recorded with that guitar?

Thanks, man! :D

The top two tracks on my Soundcloud page (New Track - Draft & Stargazer) were recorded using the Big Hairy Strat through a Line 6 POD X3 into Ableton Live.

Enjoy!

Andy

Yes and yes!
Thank you for your compliment about my artwork. It's done with a sharpie, free hand, covered with clear coat.
