Just got a Mustang lll. I love it. Also some recording software I haven't had time to investigate. My topic is about backing tracks. I have seen guitar players in bars and casinos who have nothing but a laptop and a PA system and it sounds like they have a whole rhythm section backing them up. Can anyone here help me as to how they do it. I have talked to some of them and they were pretty vague on how they do it, but they didn't look like rocket scientists. Thanks a lot Jim Merz :)

Here's a good place to get some stuff:

I also make my own using FL Studio (loop software). It'll take a little instruction to figure out how to make it happen, but once you get the basics it's pretty easy.

I have been playing out live since 2008 using backing tracks and a Fender G-DEC amp. I play lead or rhythm guitar and sing and let the backing tracks handle drums, bass and keys. It's not hard to do and let's you make a decent wage without having to pay all the other guys. You just have to remember that when a backing track starts, you had better keep up or all hell will break loose!

Thanks for the tips. I know what you mean, I had a few bands and most musicians have so many personal problems, they give you a headache. I have acquired a nice little drum and bass machine with hundreds of patterns I guess I'll just work out my music with that. Because most of the "music" today also gives me a headache. Thanks again
