I just got my guitar out of the closet and started playing again, A couple of our kids were living with for a little over six months, they moved back to Michigan from Flordia and were using the room we used for our music room It feels nice to have it back but my fingers sure are sore.

I was in the same - or similar - boat a couple of years ago when I took early retirement....keep at it, the fingers eventually harden up and some of the magic (occasionally, more) returns.
cheers,
Alex

I played from about 1969 to the early 80's when I quit. Started playing again in 2010. Found I was a little out of practice. :o

Har! Not to brag, but I was a lot out of practice, but what I found is that my timing and speed and (usually) precision came back fairly quickly; however, I can't remember all the lyrics - especially bridges. Age thing? Or is it because I much prefer playing rhythm and leads (tasty bits as I like to think of them :) ) and don't care so much about the vocals which I used to do when I was playing in bands in the late 60's to the early 80's? I guess that that's not a fair question for you to answer, but I'd be interested in your experience.
Best,
Alex
ps vis a vis the black ice thread, I thought that the future was wireless :D
