Hi,
I got a peavey vypyr amp from my buddy, I get static coming out of it, sometimes its less prominent others its all i can hear, i think it could have something to do with the jack on the amp, but not sure, sometimes it will go away or lessen...any thoughts? feel free to private message or post reply here...also how likely is it that a loose jack would cause this?

Is there less static when you turn the guitar down? Does it make noise with no guitar plugged in?
