Some of you guys have an awesome collection!

Besides my beloved '95 Fender Strat, I only have:
Takamine 6 string acoustic
Yamaha 12 string acoustic
also... (well, it is a guitar, right?)
Cheap pawn shop POS overhauled, rebuilt, Samick 4 string bass (P-Bass copy).

I own a Fender G-DEC 3 30 & that's the only Fender product I own at the time. I have a Gibson SG, a B.C.Rich S.O.B. avenge, a Schecter C-1 & i'm about to buy A Crate 2x12 combo amp 120 watt's from a buddy of mine, can't remember what model amp it is but it sounds really good. I plan in the future to buy me a strat I have played a few strat's as well as some telecaster's & they feel & play pretty good & have a pretty good tone. As far as fender amps go I have owned a few practice amp's & half stacks & they sound very good & are very dependable. Besides a Marshall the Fender would probably be my favorite amp. I think Marshall & Fender are tied as my # 1 amp. I don't have pics rite now but I willl post some pics of my equipment soon.......

I would love left-handed G&L and Lakland basses. Sadly I cannot afford them at this time, but will in the future. Think Positive! :)

Hi Arjay, my curiousity has been piqued! Could you tell us about your Les Pauls? Could that be a '59 Historic?

Just curious, what do you like about that? price? i mean.... not to take anything away from you, i just never got why anyone would be interested in a guitar that looks exactly like an LP or a Strat but isn't a Gibson / Epi or fender/ squier.... unless its purely a price thing, i get that..... i guess i'm just bugged by the fact that a lot of hard work and imagination went into building the originals, and then hundreds of "other" companies just make their money by ripping off those designs and putting their name on the headstocks.... that not bother anyone else?

I cant say it bothers me that other companies knock off Fenders (as well as Gibsons of course) but I wouldnt particularily want to own one.
As far as owning other guitars I have 2 Yamaha acoustics too, I really love their sound. I wouldnt mind owning a Gibson SG or a Les Paul either, but right now all I own electric-wise is Fenders.

I played Orville's, Orville by Gibson reissues, Burny's..ect for a while and really loved them. I picked up the Bacchus LP for a steal, less than half of the retail price. I was on the hunt for a strat and a friend offered me his barely played Bacchus strat. I then sold off all my other guitars and kept these two plus a Fresher tele. I find the quality and price of a lot of MIJ guitars second to none. The direct answer would be price and playability I guess...I'm always on the hunt for good MIJ guitars.

I play my Stratocaster the most.
But I also love my Jackson Soloist.
I also have a Yamaha acoustic.
Which guitar I play depends mostly on what type of music I want to play.
I play classical, alternative, and blues on the Fender.
If I am in the mood for full-on metal and shredding, I pick up my Jackson.

Alembic
Fender
G&L(1980-1984)
Epiphone Ravioli Hollowbody
Squier Classic Vibe 50's Precision

I like regular, standard Guitars..like Strats, Teles, Les Pauls. I also like early 80's super strat companies(Warmouth, Kramer, Ibanez Jem).

i used to have a Tokai Les Paul, and my fuzzy memory suggests there was some serious lawsuit/threats made at Tokai, because at one point (80's/90's?) they were punting out 'copies' at least as good as what fender and gibson were making. one of my friends still has a Tokai 'les paul custom' thats a good few years old, and its a gorgeous guitar, played blind you wouldnt know it was a 'copy'.

believe it or not, it is possible to buy a great strat/LP without gibson or fender on the headstock
at the moment, my only non fender is a seagull 12 string acoustic.

i know some of them are really nice guitars.... i've played a few copies myself that were pretty amazing to be copies.... there's a guitar shop here in nashville that has nothing but strat copies, but they're selling for as much as American Standards in there.... So I was curious, and they are really nice.... some local custom job, i think. someone's very proud of how well they copied Fender, i guess.
and, you know, when you're just copying an awesome design, it's not hard to make a great guitar. :)
