All right, a couple of months ago the Screamin' Armadillos re-formed to play my college graduation party. We had recorded a lot here and there but hadn't played an actual gig in over five years; we had a series of unfortunate events and disasters that kept us off stage.

First, I had two discs in my neck rupture and ended up having a couple of surgeries that sidelined me for over a year and a half.

When I recovered sufficiently, we started rehearsing and recording again. We had to re-key some of our songs because the first surgery damaged my vocal cords and I couldn't song as high or as long as before.

Then we had to start auditioning bassists because ours had to bail out due to family and financial responsibilities.

Just when we started to get going again, the other guitarist had a stroke and was sidelined for a couple of years. He's still only back to about 60% of his previous power and ability (and that breaks my heart).

Anyway, I contacted everybody who had been a full-fledged member at one time (less one, for personal reasons) and got them together to play.

The drummer--our producer, anchor and rock--was sicker than a dog that day, but came to play anyway.
The big guy to my right (your left) has had three heart attacks, and was having a hardtime with he early summer Texas heat. He hadn't played with us in over seven years, and had never even heard this song before.
The guy with the shaved head and the sunburst Stratocaster is the one who had a stroke. He's re-learned to be a solid rhythm player.
The bassist is the same as he ever was, ebullient and fun.

Drummer's wife shot the video...and she was in agony, because she needed an operation on her foot...but she soldiered on and did it anyway. (She recently had that surgery and is doing better).

The disinterested audience was shot while we were setting up, not playing...or at least that's what I was told (and hope!)

We recorded the music live on our 16-track Korg digital thingy. The drummer compiled/synced the video with that audio.

It's not the greatest performance ever, but I don't care. I was surrounded by some of my closest friends, doing what I love.

I wrote the song, and it's called, "Baby Just Hush"

Solid vibe, SA! Reminds me of some real early Stones (before Keith forgot that a guitar customarily uses six strings).

RAWK ON!

You actually have a really powerful voice. I'd love to hear you get a little rough and edgy, considering you have the perfect tone for it.

No other reasons needed, just great fun playing along with friends is good enough. I enjoyed watching the video, it is a great song, congrats.

Or add beer only and it's just fun.

Awesome! Is that a banjo case I spy in the back of the stage? And by the way, my Dad has the exact same Peavey T-40 bass, only in natural finish. :)
