Ok so I cannot find an email to message Fender directly so I guess I'm doing it here.

bought a brand new Fender Red October hot rod Deville 410 for a little over a grand.... gigged with it for about a month and while carrying it up some stairs at my last gig BOOM the handle snaps off I nearly fell all the way down the stairs, ended up smashing my knee with the amp and dropping the amp half way down the stairs.... as you can assume I'm PISSED that my new amp is breaking on me and nearly killed me.

I hope some Fender employee sees this and responds with some sort of offer to replace my brand new amps handle or something else cause if this is the case with Fender products I will never buy again.. could not be more upset with the whole situation

That is terrible, just terrible.
One of my fears is just that, carrying my drri from the handle
and falling to its peril because the handle snaps.
Hope it gets sorted out

You're in Canada, right? I think you should call your dealer and let them know.

Bad story. Sorry to hear.

Cheers

That really sucks, hope your knee is ok. :?

Did the handle itself break, or the fasteners which attached it to the amp?

the actual rubber handle just snapped on the right side where it goes around the metal fasteners

Could be wrong, just a guess, but I'll bet you're not the first to have this happen.

yeah most likely not, the red october model of Deville is way heavier then the standard model, my bro has an old silver panel deville 410 thats WAY lighter , must be the upgraded speakers

+1

It happened to my best friend's 2 x 12 HR DeVille. Same deal, same outcome. Thankfully the amp wasn't otherwise damaged nor was my buddy injured.

I have already ordered a leather handle but I would like Fender to at least pay for it or something, its rediculous that a brand new amps handle breaks after only 4 gigs

the handle should last a lifetime. I've some very heavy amps that were decades old and still had the original handles.

Either you got a an isolated issue where a substandard handle got used or they need to reassess the load bearing properties of the handles used for this amp.
