Hey,

So here I am, about to move into my new apartment with my guitars and amps. Up to this point, my guitars have all gone into either gig bags, solid cases, or propped on my one floor stand.

Here is my question: Does anybody know a good blueprint to make your own guitar wall hanger?
This would include materials, instructions, and cost.

Really random post, but a useful one, methinks.

Thanks!

KT

There's no sense in re-inventing the wheel.

This is what I used for my new music room......

Well, I thought about hanging my guitars but for space reasons I decided for two Warwick "Rockstand 7s" instead:

There's so many wallhangers available, most of them for reasonable prices, that I consider it "wasted time" to put all the effort in making one DIY.
I would have bought them.
Unless you're a hobby luthier and want to create something very different and unique, I wouldn't make them myself.

this is what I use,

http://www.amazon.com/Vinyl-Coated-Stee ... ool+hanger

they are available at most hardware stores.

it holds any guitar with a nut width equal to or under 1 3/4. for the nitro guitars I just cut 2 connected fingers off a cotton work glove for a cover
as long as you hit a stud its not gonna move.
