Bill, so sorry to hear that. The Luthier gig sounds pretty spiffy. I can see you doing that too. You have a lot of technical know-how and the patience of a saint.

Today I worked on an old Teisco Del Ray.

I also rewired an old Hofner bass.

The mother of the owner of the Epiphone bass that I replaced the battery connector on yesterday came in to pick it up, and everyone was happy. :D

Good old on the job training :D

Unfortunately, it is only a max of about 4 hours a day, 3 days a week at $10/hr. But the experience of working with "Bob" is priceless. :D

Actually, that kind of stuff I can do in my sleep. I'm really training "Bob" in guitar electronics.

If possible its better to get hooked up where you get paid by the job. You can get to the point where they call you and pick the work up on an as needed bases from a few different locations. Good for side money  I even do pre loaded pick guards for a few places when they want them. People think they are done in house when really its in my house

I had to work on my dads hofner violin bass. I've never seen such a mess! I got it back to working, but god.....what a mess.

Bet it was neat, though. 8)
