Unfortunately you guys have already heard the EP. It's going to be the same three songs I recorded last spring. But my friend is going back to HCC this fall, so I'm going to try to get a lot of recording then.



I don't claim to really know a lot of the people in those photos, but I had a couple of really good conversations with Hubert Sumlin when he was in Austin a few years ago. He was a really funny, really nice guy and I'm so glad that I was able to meet him! Jimmie Vaughan too, I had a brief conversation with him before he signed my guitar and took that picture. I basically just thanked him for being one of the people who really got me into blues, and he was also an incredibly nice, humble person like Hubert Sumlin was.

You are modest..That would be why all those greats we admire took to you....It really is half the battle of becoming successful. A personality that endears you to people instantly....
I know there is the hype of the antisocial musician and whatever but that is just smoke and mirrors and image marketing.... Personally i have always preferred to be approachable and vice versa even though at times some people reflected that I was aloof....Didn't have the slightest idea...I was just focusing on the task at hand....Like throwing myself down an ice covered GS course or descending a mountain on two skinny tires...

Just a thought to be always aware of how people assess you upon first meeting them....It goes a long way...But I think you have quite a good grasp on most of this already....

So now I'll have to figure out how to download those ( Can I ?? ) onto I-tunes and burn them on a compilation....
Something to look forward to for tunes on our Avantoberfest Drive this fall.....

( Edit...That's funny...I had written Mountain-Slope without the word mountain and it appeared as a scrambled text word.....
I'm now aware of the definition in the urban dictionary, but for crying out loud enough of this PC idiocy if a word has multiple meanings all except one quite legit I cannot use it....???
