I use an Epi Sheraton II w/a Seymour JB in the bridge and a Seymour jazz in the neck. Great sounding great priced axe.

I love hollowbodies. They have a sound that you just can't get with anything else.

I take it this poll is for hollowbodies and not semi-hollowbodies.

The ultimate hollowbody for me is the Gibson super 400 burst, just like Scotty Moore's 63 that was borrowed by Elvis on the 68 comeback special. I love that guitar, if Gibson would just throw in a black leather outfit to go along with it, I'd be sold, hehe.

My hollow body guitar is a Gibson CS-336. Same shape as a 335 but much smaller, it is about 1/2 in. wider than a Gibson LP

Chet,
You lucky dog, you!
The 336s/356s (actually semi-hollows) are incredible sounding...tried both at at Manny's Music and Rudy's on 48th St in NYC and loved the tone and sustain on them. My son (the real guitarist in the family!!!) also was impressed...I keep checking on ebay and looking around.
Just yesterday, I had the pups on my EPI Les Paul changed to a Gibson 57 Classic at the neck and a 57 Classic+ at the bridge (both zebras)...ran home and plugged it in. What a difference from the stock EPI pups, like night and day.
Here's a photo of my son with my LP and his amber HSS Highway One

I have a Dot, Epiphone's version of the Gibson ES335 that I really like when the situation requires a semi-hollow. The ES is about 6 1/2 times more expensive, but certainly not 6 1/2 times better. The Ibanez ArtCore guitars would be another choice.

If done right, I think the Fender Esprit would command marketshare in this segment. Bring back the Esprit !!!

an epi casino is nice (especially if you like the beatles) and it won't just be a cheaper gibson knockoff (although epis can be nice anyway) .also gretsch has a g5120 electromatic with bigsby for about 600 bucks @ guitar center. good luck!

I would second cryingstrat's suggestion- I think the Epi Dot Studio is a tremendous bang for your buck at $200. :)

I'm still amazed at how good that guitar is. It's by far the cheapest guitar I own and I'll reach for it as often as I reach for a $2000 axe. Once you change out those cheap pups you've got a really nice guitar.

No easier then an acoustic guitar. I mean if you drop it, it can break. My hollowbody is 42 years old and it's fine. Considering all the old ES 335's out there....you and you're future hollow body will be fine too.

Wow dude....maybe english isn't your first language and if it isn't, I apologise.

If it is, you really need to learn how to use the language. Your grammer and spelling are terrible. Expanvie? Wacht? Relefe? Those aren't even words man. Do they even teach English anymore?

The Epi Sheraton is a good choice, too. You can get that John Lee Hooker sound.
