I'm looking for a hollow Body like an Epi, or something. I thought about a Gibson but just too darn expensive. Gretsch's are nice but I cant find one to play. I would like to put a bigsby on one too, Gretschs have 'em, but Epis are more in my budget.

Can you guys help me out?

For a 335 semi-hollow clone look at the Hamer Echotone. Can be had for 300 bucks. Very good guitar for the money. For full hollowbody look at a Epi Casino, new will cost you twice what the Echotone runs. Also heard good things about Oscar Schmidt 335 clones. Of course you could always go with a thinline tele!

I love hollowbodies, and if you are looking for some budget ones you should definitely look into Ibanez's artcore guitars.

I've got a Epiphone Dot Studio 335 that I dropped some Duncan Phat Cats into. Great guitar, sweet neck, nice tone and it was only $200! You have to play a few of em to find one with the neck you like, but it's worth the trouble. My buddy has a '72 335 and he likes playing my Epi more then his Gibby.

You can find a really nice hollow/semi hollow these days for a couple of hundred bucks. I've heard some nice things about the Epi Joe Pass too. Ibanez Artcores are decent guitars too.

My hollow body guitar is a Gibson CS-336. Same shape as a 335 but much smaller, it is about 1/2 in. wider than a Gibson LP

I've got an Epi Sheraton II that has great tone, and great sustain. 2 humbuckers that get a little muddy sounding when you use a distortion pedal ... seymour duncan can probably fix that, but clean is Reaaal clean (fender champ amp)
the only gripe i have is the frets could have been dressed better - the ends were pretty sharp - so i just filed the ends down a bit.

The 335's are absolutely awesome indeed. The Gretsch's too.
I've played a Sheraton II a couple of times in a shop. It sounded good, but the neck was a bit off.
