If I use chorus, I use either my Boss CE 3 or the chorus built into my Mustang V. I tend not to use it except for 1 or 2 songs I composed that just doesn't sound right unless it is on.

I will not run if nominated, and will not serve if elected... :P

I do appreciate the old school style of analog delay set to a very mild, very subtle, type of rockabilly slapback. That works well and sounds good.

+1...
I use an MXR Carbon Copy Analog Delay, and I love it. That little box ranges from short, slapback 50's rockabilly echo to long, Gilmouresque delay and echo in it, and I use all of those settings and sounds...but the warmth and richness of an analog delay does my heart good; the 80s-style cold, sterile digital delay just freezes me out.

Good man! :D The first time I heard Surfing with the Alien I was bitterly disappointed. I was expecting an album of purely instrumental guitar music to sound like Hendrix's or Santana's instrumentals - instead I got Satriani. :(

But I must confess, I love effects! :D Fuzz, distortion, reverb, delay, I use it all to create soundscapes, usually either spacey or doomy. My brain just seems to be hardwired for dark, deep, heavy psychedelic sound.

So, to actually answer the OP's question: I have chorus built into my amp, and at the risk of sounding like I'm schilling for our host, I have a Fender Starcaster chorus pedal that I just bought because they were on sale dirt cheap. My amp's chorus is decent, but I haven't used the Starcaster enough to make up my mind about it yet. But I never found any use for chorus until I recorded my last song. I used it moderately for some clean arpeggios to give them a gothic flavor, and I think it worked pretty well.

I agree. I've really gotten into neo-psychedelic, Shoegaze and even Nu-Gaze. I have an arsenal of pedals, but I need to find time to lay down some tracks.

I look forward to hearing them when you do. I'm always interested in hearing original music. And I was unaware of Nu-Gaze, thanks for the tip, I'll definitely be checking into it. 8)
