Squire, made in China.
G string is a hassle, keeps going flat.
Otherwise the ceramic pickups chime very nicely on some tracks.
Yes, I did bang it around a bit in my drinking days. Wanted to be ¨hep¨back then.

Neck pickup is heaven. The feel and craftmanship, beyond words!

That is a MIJ (from 1985) '54 Reissue Esquire. Here are the specs:
Body: Ash
Neck: Solid Maple, 21 Vintage Frets (7.25 R)
Hardware: Chrome
Machine Heads: Gotoh Vintage Style Tuners
Bridge: 3 T-Brass Saddle String Thru Body
Pickguard: 1-Ply White
Pickups: 1 Fender Telecaster Vintage Single-Coil Pickup
Controls: Master Volume, Master Tone
Switching:
Position 1: Fixed Bassy Tone
Position 2: Tone Control
Position 3: No Tone Control
The pickup has a copper plate on the bottom and rips almost like a P90 with more highs.

I used it and my 82 Reissue Strat exclusively for 5 years worth of gigging in the panhandle of Florida while I lived there.

Here's the family, left to right: CP 50's Strat, FSR Sunfire Orange Flake Std Strat, '85 MIJ Strat, Am Std Ash Tele, '05 Am Deluxe Strat... Thought about paring down but just can't seem to part with any, at least not yet....

I only have two fenders, a 1996 MIM strat with 57/62 pickups and a amercian deluxe telecaster.



The tele was recently replaced by superb fender customer service so here is a picture of the replacement.
