For me, the most disappointing album was The Clash's "Cut the Crap". It was a pitiful attempt to continue after something great had fallen apart. Bernie Rhodes messed it all up!

Boston "Third Stage" - the most waited for, longest time to produce flop in albuminic historicity.

Not that it was a horrid album - just that after the rocking greatness of "Boston" and "Don't Look Back", this one was sleeping music. Some would disagree I'm sure but it didn't work for me.

Metallica- Black Album....How could a once great band make crap like this? These are the same people who wrote Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets? Almost unbelievable!

Two Against Nature. I'm the biggest Steely Dan fan in the world, and except for "What A Shame About Me," I can't listen to it.

North Mississippi Allstars - Electric Blue Watermelon

The previous album, Shake Hands With Shorty, was such a success and was so good, I can't understand why they chose to change styles.

Although a previous poster mentioned Metallica's Black album I feel that St' Anger really tops that one on the disappoinment scale.

That album is a textbook case on the evils of Pro Tools abuse.

for me it would have to be the red hot chili peppers one hot minute, following the blood sugar sex magik album this was garbage. Dave Naravvo trying to be funky is kinda like elton john trying to be straight. He is a great player, just not a funky player

They should have folded right then and there. Of course it was also the start of their most commercially successful period. That made it even worse.

I would have to agree with this. They should have done all the songs they did on the Crossroads show. Those songs were awesome!!!!

Van Halen III

Heard the album once and broke the CD in half. Not withstanding EVH's guitar play, the album was unlistenable.
