Am I peculiar..okay nevermind that bridge has already been crossed..however am I the only person that has songs that are fun to play but to just listen to them is just rediculous and or embarassing..couple of examples for myself.. Neon Trees-Everybody Talks and Cee Lo well you know which one I mean on that..Okay who else is playing absolutely silly stuff just because..

one of those songs iver heard so many times i could quite happily never listen to it again. but if i pick up an acoustic i always end up playing the intro solo bit at least.

I must have missed that peculiar bridge, songs that are fun to play but ridiculous and or embarrassing are many and varied.

billy idol and his band were exceptionally good live, I saw them with the cult as opener in early 1987 and what was more remarkable is the cult was louder and better in 89 opening for metallica which all has absolutely nothing to do with "Songs you hate to hear but love to play", nevermind.

When my band plays a street festival, or gig where there are families around with little kids, we do a pretty rockin rendition of " Hokey Pokey" Fun to do, but...well need I say more? We do it for the kids, they seem to love it, and our chic singer realyy gets outthere and shows the kids a good time. Maybe I should have saved this for the confession thread!

Heck yeah. The worst is when you start covering a song that you actually like, but you grow to hate because you have to play it constantly. The band I'm in has ruined With or Without You by U2, and Sweet Dreams by The Eurythmics for me. I LOVED those songs. Now...not so much...
