I've heard good things about Bandcamp, Bandvista, Bandzoogle for building band sites - just wondered if anyone here has used any of them? A friend has asked me what the best option is to build their band's website and they need something that works on Mobile, I found Telnames, Presskit.to and a few others that do mobile optimised sites. Anyone here have any ideas / recommendations?

One of my old punk bands used some site like that. I can't recall the name of it now, our drummer pretty much handled it. I think they are all pretty much the same. Mobile should be where they are all heading. That's where all tech is going. They are simply following suit because if they don't they will fail. Basically, the only thing it's going to help you do is book gigs in large markets without doing the real world "legwork".

So if you are from a smaller sized community but are within travelling distance to a large market then go for it. There are clubs who use them, but again. Most are big city venues and be ready for some shady dealings. That's not the fault of the site. That's just how club owners for the most part are. Especially in larger markets. If you're from a large metropolis then I wouldn't waste the time. Get your own Press Kit together. Both hardcopy and electronic. Find some clubs to play in your city. Hook up with other bands.
Start doing gig sharing.

Just my opinion, of course.
