You forgot 2 BMW-KTM, but those two are so simple that they weren't even a speck on the radar of such a great mind like yours (well that is enough a$$kissing) :lol:

FF = Fender Forums
FB = Facebook (Now if you didn't know that, you probably know more about living in caves than the internet :P :lol: )

You left out the following acronyms!

First an example post to show you how crucial these missing acronyms actually are!

"WTF! Giving up S&M and needed a change. Rick was SOB so I could go to BigBox and relieve this awful gnawing GAS but could never make up my mind. WWLD? I liked the T&A of several at SA but the MF descriptions confused me. This sure is different than back in the BJ days when I'd haunt Mom & Pops waiting on new axes, each one came with a free OHSC even the B&D ones. You could get any Fender bass you wanted as long as it is was a P or a J. Those were the only two full scale models. Both had the same amazing tort too. BJ there was no CNC so it was a total hand build and you could get your nitro on without the EPA coming down on you like Seals on Osama. Of course AJ the CNC and Poly ushered in the CBS era and party over, out of time."

WTF = Want The Fender
RICK = Rickenbacker
SOB = Sold On Bay (Bay = eBay)
MF = Musicians Friend
Evil Empire = Guitar Center / Musicians Friend / Music 123
BigBox = Guitar Center or Sam Ash in USA / Long & McQuade in Canada
SA = Sam Ash
T&A = Tone And Amplitude
TORT = Tortoise
WWLD = What Would Leo Do?
BJ = Before Jamerson
AJ = After Jamerson
(this is the year 49 A.J. if you are a bassist, 2012 AD if you aren't.)
S&M = Sax And Marimba
B&D = Blond And Daphne
CBS = Columbia Broadcasting System (or) Can Be Sucky
Pre-CBS = Before They Can Be Sucky
J = Jazz Bass
P = Precision Bass
CNC = Completely Non-human Cutting
POLY = Polyester Paint
NITRO = Nitrocellulose Paint
OHSC = Original Hard Side Case
MOM & POPS = Privately Owned Independent Small Full Service Music Store (As common today as VHS Video Tape Rental Stores.)
JK = Just Kidding (and I was! Well, mostly!)

Dave has touched on something which has irked me deeply about scientific papers which are lending themselves to the use of acronyms to avoid the need for repeating the spelling of keys words. Dave's tongue in cheek example speaks to my long held belief that a 2000 word paper will ultimatedly be reduced to 100 for the sake of convenience. :?
