I just purchased a 2012 Fender American Special. Came with 1 Atomic Humbucker and 2 Texas Special pickups. Love the pickups! But...not to crazy about the humbucker and single coil in position 2. I used the following seymour duncan wiring diagram successfully in other guitars and am trying to achieve the same thing with the pickups in my Fender American Special (http://www.seymourduncan.com/support/wi ... v_2t_5w_as). Basically, it autosplits the humbucker on the 5 way switch at position 2. I've tried it but I must have some wires mixed up because there is little volume and sound "nasaly". Currently I have the red and bare wire grounded to the volume pot, the green to switch and the black and white tied together also to the switch, per the seymour duncan diagram. Can anyone point me in the right direction. Thx

You say you have the red wire going to ground and the green going to the switch. Its the other way around in the diagram, have you tried swapping them over already?

If that doesn't help, I'm sure someone slightly more knowledgeable than me will come along and help.
