Very impressive! Only thing I see is maybe turn the drum volume down a little or the bass up..or maybe my ears are just old..lol...really really good thanks for the share!

Thanks for the kind words Monalst! I think you're right about the drums being too loud. Mixing is always a struggle for me especially when trying to use a drum machine. Thanks again for checking it out!

I like it

but as said previously, the levels could use some tweaking.
the symbol and snare is masking the guitar a bit also as said the bass does need some more volume. good tune though

Thanks for the advice somebizarredude! :D

I need to get in the habbit of listening on a few systems before finishing a mix. When I played this in my car it was obvious the drums are too loud, but it didn't seem that way in my room. My car seems to be a good reference point!

Really? Spamming up my meager thread? That will get you a ton of hits, no doubt!

Hi. Thank you for posting. Nice tune- well played :) Mixing and finishing a mix is not all about how the levels are set . It involves a whole lot of EQ-ing ,reverb ,use of compressors & limiters et cetera. And I've found out :!:  -this is quite a complicated science. Very much depends on your listening environment , and the speakers . It's an art to get the music to translate well to different playback environments. I would not solely trust my cars speakers- but it sure is useful to test the mix there as well :)
To me it sounded quite good (through earplugs) -except the drums. I guess it would be better if you could split up the sound of the drum kit to different channels ,and treat them individually. Perhaps then raise the level of the kick and add some reverb to the cymbals.... Anyhow- great track- keep up the good work!

Yeah, the drums are up in the mix, with me it's always the guitar

Thanks for the great advice! I hadn't thought of splitting up the drum kit or adding reverb to the drums. Obviously mixing isn't a strong point for me, but it usually turns out better when I don't use a drum machine at all. :P I'll have to try some of these technique's. Thanks again for the feedback!

Nice tune and nice playing. :) And the little Spanish flourish at the end was a nice touch.

Thanks so much! :D

TBH, I think I just got lucky at the ending cause I started it and didn't know where I was going with it. I remeber thinking I was about to ruin the whole take, then lucked out by ending somewhat cleanly.
