Further confessions:
6. I think rock stars are trite.
7. Every time I see some middle age rock star still desperately trying to look young I think "Get a grip, Peter Pansy."
8. But when I look in the mirror and see middle age catching up with myself I think "Holy crap, I don't want to get old!"
9. I, too, can't stand Bruce Springsteen. And if he really is The Boss, doesn't he owe all of us about 35 years of back pay?
10. I think Guns 'n Roses is vastly overrated. But they were definitely a breath of fresh air amidst all that inane '80s hairdo crap.

I won't associate with someone who wears a band tshirt without any knowledge of the band.

you should throw a battery cut off switch in there

I'm going today to get a hardwired trickle charger installed.....A cut off would reset all my data and engine settings every day....Thx though good advice..

I don't mind some Bruce Springsteen, but I confess that I like this comment!

But, you know, there's an opposite to this. People wanting to hang out with me because of a band shirt. There was this girl in summer school who complimented me on my Ramones shirt, and then I showed her my playlist and she was all "dafuq, that's cool, we both have gr8 taste!" and we started talking.

Let's take a step back. To me the word confession implies something that's hard to come out with because you're embarrassed, ashamed or even guilty about it.

That certainly does not apply to my "confession" earlier on the thread, which cost me no discomfort in the slightest: I'm not proud about it but I'm not embarrassed either. And most of the other "confessions" on this thread are not confessions at all: they're either mere gripes or else they're actual boasts.

So I was scratching my head trying to think if there is really anything in my life I'd truly find it awkward and shameful to admit, something I feel so disgraceful it is only with the deepest humiliation I can tell it out loud to other people.

And then I remembered. I've always loathed Andrew Lloyd Webber, holding him to be the prince of everything I consider darkest, musically and in every other way. And yet in 1997 of my own free will I went to see the London stage revival of Jesus Christ Superstar (with Steve Balsamo and Zubin Varla), and not only that, I then, in full command of my senses and wits and without anyone holding a gun to my head or threatening the lives of my nearest and dearest, bought the cast album which I still own and have listened to within the last 12 months.

The shame, the shame! Gggnnnnnagh! Shudder.

Don't tell anyone.

Cheers - C

Actually, I posted a lot of shames. But it's a confession if it's something you wouldn't normally bring up or tell, for example, my bellbottoms post. Who cares about bellbottoms?

It's the clock on my Beemer that drains mine. I've checked. It's the only circuit on the bike with any current draw when the key is off. It's in milliamps but over enough time, like say 2 or 3 months, it can be enough to require a boost to get it running. A Battery-Tender® solved my issues. I also swapped out the cheap acid battery in the first year I had it. I only run gel batts. They last longer, hold a charge longer and stand up to cold better.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

I often wake up from a sound sleep in the middle of the night, having to get up and take a leak.

I confess that in another year I am going to need oxygen to get through the entire rhythm part of Highway Star..and I have given up even thinking about learning the lead down the road..

I just came in from replacing it with a MotoBatt. The load tester said the old was only showing 3 volts and its cactus. Of course Ducati don't warrant Batteries... They also said the circuit draw on the Diavel is the Jet fighter style flick cover over the start button when left in the natural turn motor off position "down" is leaving the start circuit open and they have only just worked it out after a year of this model....Thx for the Call

We dont have the cold winters here in the tropics, after seeing what happens to car Battery in Europe in one day i cant imagine trying to keep a little bike batt charged in 0 Deg. So i have not had to think about Batteries in those situations, thanks for the advice never the less...I'm wondering would gel promote longevity in the tropics too? No one here i think would have much motivation to bother...Maybe right down south where its cold..... Any way she's all shined up, Its Mid winter but still 25 Deg C  ..... I'm done with work for the day... so i think i'll put the gear on and go for a ride out though the hills to a country pub and drink a few cold beers in the sun!!...
Cheers...

The only battery I worry about is the one in my phone. That is, my bicycle doesn't need any, and the driver doesn't take too kindly when I try to change the one on his bus.
