I know, the drummer looks a little like me but not really alike.
And there's only one guy with black&white zebra leggins.

I would have thought you were related at least.
I think one person with zebra legs is enough for one band really...

I sometimes stand infront of a full length mirror in nothing but a tutu and strike pouting poses whilst I anoint my nipples with brown sauce.

Then theres all the other stuff but everyone knows about that anyway so why bother to confess it.

The Beatles single handedly revolutionized Rock 'n roll. No other group in the history of modern music was more influential on both the art form itself and also the mindset of the fans and even the general populace at large. The Beatles took the old Rockabilly and the early Elvis style Rock 'n Roll and recreated them into what we now call Rock Music. If it wasn't for the Beatles the world would be a very different place, musically, socially and politically. There would be no metal, no thrash, no punk, no indie, none of it. The Beatles started the domino effect that eventually lead to the creation of those genres. Not only that but they were brilliant musicians to boot. Study their songs. Try to play along. You'll discover that what sounds on the radio to be nothing more than a simple 3 or 4 chord song is really a very complicated piece of writing the likes of which is seen very rarely anymore. Very rarely.

+1 :!:
A very proper posting

It's mind boggling how people overlook Jimi Hendrix for The Beatles.

I like Jimi :D Of course. It is said that he was a friend to the Beatles . I've even heard a clip where Jimi performed 'Day Tripper' with John Lennon on vocals  The Beatles used to go out listening to Jimi at clubs in London when he was rather infamous. You see- it's a link even there

Not that many people overlook either. And its not like its an either-or type of scenario anyway.

IMO it was Jimi who truly revolutionized rock music. Nothing sounded like his Are You Experienced album when it came out in '67.

And I'll confess that I'm also not a Beatles fan, although I like a few songs and certainly respect their contribution.

Jimi and the Beatles don't compare. They are apples and oranges but even if you did try to force that comparison it would still be the Beatles that changed Rock 'n Roll because they burst on the scene in 1962. They had already made a huge impression on music and on people 5 years before Jimi's Monteray Pop Festival breakout and 7 years before Woodstock. In a very real sense, they created the environment and music pop culture that allowed Jimi and others to flourish and the music scene to evolve. They set the whole thing in motion.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.
