Had first slide lesson last night..loved it..but havent decided which feels more comfortable yet. What is your choice? Ive even watched some youtube vids with some using middle finger..I have already ruled that out..

Any time I attempt to play slide is with my ring finger. The pinky makes sense. I suck at slide. I can only play Bad to the Bone (George Thorogood) and the begining of In My Time of Dying (Led Zep).

+1 Pink here too. It's just easier to string guard and fret behind slide too.
Remember to do what works for you and their are no real rules, but this guy can't be wrong.
Sonny plated at a local "Concert Under the Stars" for roughly a hundred of us. He was awesome and the concert was only 10 bucks. How can you top a Dumble and a Twin for sheer tone?

Ringfinger :P The reason is - when I use slide I usually play the dobro or a tele tuned to open G. In that tuning I use pinky to 'emulate' chords- using the slide as a capo. And still got two fingers at 'the other side' to make more chords. That's me...

I play with my slide on the ring finger also, mainly because if i chord while playing slide its only ever a 2 finger chord  so i can slide and then chord the rhythm much more easily.

Pinky for open tunings. Various other fingers for standard tuning, whatever suits the song.

Either one depending on what is being played.

Ring finger because my slide is too big for my pinky without it being a bit loose and also 'cos Pagey wears his on his ring finger and he's pretty good i'd say 8)

Pinky, with a short, thick glass slide that fits snugly. Short keeps the noise down, thick keeps the sound dark, and snug keeps it from wiggling around while I'm playing. I don't play slide very much, but now and then it's fun.

Another vote for pinky here... and brass... and long... and thin. When you buy one, make sure you're at a store that stocks them in different sizes and try a few on. too loose, you can't control it. Too tight, your finger will go numb.
I like the thinner wall because it's lighter and easier to control. I also like brass because it bites the strings better, and for me, it's easier to control. And I like 'em long so I can get all the strings no matter where I am on the neck.
I like the pinky also because you can make some really nice and really nasty chords using 3 fingers in open tunings 8)
oh... and I like my Hound Dog Dobro for all of the afore mentioned details.

I'm a pinky guy. I use lots of chords and such in my playing, therefore using my pinky just makes sense.

Depends on what I am playing. I do not use my pinky for sliding, I use it too much for various chords an other playing. I use either my Ring or Middle fingers. Works best for my style.
