It can sound a bit like a choking alley cat at first, but if you persist, it can be the coolest sound to come out of a guitar.

Update: I concur on the choking cat thing..but I actually did learn some and at the end I wasnt praying for ear plugs for all...total blast!

I love slide! It was quite the challenge for me to figure out though. It takes lots of time and practice to get it down. Good luck, and work hard!
