I've got this pedal that I've had since a kid (60's-70's). Wedge shape metal box, single foot switch, pot with a 0-10 knob on it, single 1/4" jack. It takes a 9V battery, no tubes, just electronic. I seem to think it was a Fender fuzz type pedal, but stupidly as a kid, I sanded it down and painted it. It has no markings inside, but does have, what I think, is a serial number stamped on the case. I forgot to write it down to submit to Fender, but will try to remember tonight. Has anyone heard of, seen or got something like this? Thanks.

Yes they did.

That sounds more like a Maestro Fuzz Tone. But it's possible it was Fender.

As far as I can remember, Fender had the Fender Blender, a Phaser, and two versions of the Fender Fuzz Wah. The Fender Blender wasn't a wedge though and Fender reissued all three pedals.

Well BoomChickaBoom, you're absolutely right. It is a Gibson Maestro Fuzz-tone. My initial details from memory were slightly off, but you got it anyways! Thanks for the great work! It's all in tact, but painted as I said. I just have to try it out and see if it still works. All my guitars and amps are at our other house. I'm hoping this weekend I'll get to try it out. I had forgotten all about it and just ran across it packed in a box in the basement! Score!!! I emailing Gibson the serial number to get a date on in. Thanks again! :D

Nice.

Those are fun little fuzzes.

You ought to be able to get a date from the pot codes also.

Glad to help you find some "satisfaction".
