That may very well be but you did post that on a Forum, a public one and even if there was a warning of offensive lyrics, sometimes it's best to just not say anything, otherwise you have opened the door for replies..

Sort of like herding Cats....
You are going to get scratched in the attempt to get them back inside the corral...

i still dont understand why people would click on the second just to say somthing snotty like i said i dont care if you dont like em at all you just dont need to $@!&* about them and try to condescend me not that i care i find it funny that grown men 40 years plus are willing to argue with a 21 year old about lyrics he wrote cause they dont like them.......well i find it funny and pretty pathetic

I am new to the forum and I really don't want to make any waves but after reading this thread I find that I must toss my hat into the ring so to speak. Let me first say that I mean no offense to anyone, this is only a simple tale of the truth.

I have been teaching guitar and music theory for almost 28 years. I have had students from all forms of music and walks of life. Yes, even the macabre type on occasion. There is one student in particular who stands out. When he came to me 5 years ago all he wanted to learn was death metal and thrash. I did my very best to accomidate him but I kept finding myself falling back on that pesky old music theory thing.

I couldn't find any examples of practical theory in that thrash stuff. I couldn't teach him anything because there is nothing there to teach. To his credit though, he kept coming back no matter how much Lynyrd Skynyrd or John Lee Hooker I taught him. Slowly, over time he came to see the value in this type of music and although he will still occasionally listen to Slayer or something his heart now lies in real music. Now, you can believe it or not but he is playing in a band with me now and is one talented player, once he got away from the other stuff.

I realize that this thread was started about lyrics but I think the whole thing goes hand in hand, one with the other.

As I stated before, I don't want to ruffle anyone's feathers or to offend anyone. All I am saying is that shock and awe is not music. It takes, tone, meter, artistic ability and a good ear for that, and yes, good lyrics.

Just my opinion.

OP....You are not quite gripping it outright....The second batch was offensive to many, the (your choice) wording declared Open Combat which since your lyrics relied on multiple uses of the same vulgar profanity, indicated to your critics that a pea shooter reply would not be on equal footing...

As a Newbie..there is a pecking order on this Forum, it's not written out in the rules but it is human nature in organized groups, there is a certain etiquette which you can bend but at some point, you can go too far and you did.
There could be multiple demands for you to be reported and banned from this Forum, but I don't think that is happening, however if you insist on posting material like the 2nd one, the gloves will truly be off.
You got your feed back and since you just clarified that you are 21, a lot of us thought you were actually 13 to 15 so now you really should know better and understand that this Forum is not the place for lyrics that far out.
Tone it down you can be creative without Profanity, very few people can use profanity effectively....Ironically Shakespeare was considered to be quite profane for his time, but even he knew the right time and place...

Yeah nimrod, an old guy who actually made a living playing real music for 25years.
I've seen guys like you play the YMCA and high school gyms and rec centers for free.
Read the forum rules before you post the foul lyrics.
i dont care if you made money off it for 25 years that dont mean your opinions are right and the music you dont like is crap
No, I'm not saying the music is crap, your lyrics are, plus they also contain foul language and and violent sexual situations that don't belong on this forum that is geared towards people of all ages. Is that easy enough for you to get through your thick skull??

There are very young people some are twelve or thirteen years old on this forum both male and female. You don't own this forum, FMIC does, they make the rules. If you don't like them go somewhere that caters to your childish behavior. Get it cupcake? There's a fourteen or fifteen year old who's a member here who shows a lot more maturity than yourself at 21. I'm not telling you what to write, it doesn't belong posted on this forum period. Have some respect for the younger members. :?

I guess the school you were "educated" in doesn't teach punctuation.

There's absolutely no way you're 21 years old.

Did you want feedback on the lyrics or not?

If so, then why be so thin skinned? If you want feedback specifically from death heads then why post here? Seriously? What did you expect?

If you didn't want feedback then why post them at all? Did you expect everyone to be in awe of you? Do you really think you're all that?

You mind is morbid. If it's combined with an inflated ego then you're a walking time bomb.

Going ahead and locking this one as it's receiving a lot of complaints. We can debate all day long whether this sort of thing is appropriate here ... OR we can simply move on to another topic. :-)
