i found this in the basement of the house im living in its a saga acoustic when i try to find somthing out about the guitar i can all i find is saga kits and other brands they own (and i couldnt find one that looked similer) the guitar looked like it hasnt been played in 30 or 40 years i had to scrub the dust off the body and there was so much grim on the fingerboard and the tuning pegs are rusted it got a W shaped headstock with saga on it
when you look in the sound hole there a yellow sticker with saga and a model number on it
i would like to know how old it is and if they make them anymore

I dono, but that thing looks like it's seen better days. I'd try to fix it up with a set, small budget.

that part of the fretboard next to the nut looks terrible. I'd oil that up and have a pro look at it, if you could.

Found this info out digging around on the internet a bit..

Saga is the music company that imports Blueridge Guitars. Your guitar is probably a precursor to the Blueridge name, which was used starting in the late '80s and early '90s

The info also said they were more known for their banjos

Not much help but there you go lol,

Mona

It's about two weeks old.
Just kidding. Looks like it's been around the block a few times. Be careful with the lemon oil.

Depending on who makes it, it can gum up the fingerboard if not applied properly. Some so called lemon oils are nothing more than light mineral spirits with other chemicals in it. Anybody can make a cleaner and call it guitar cleaner. Usually I just use Naptha do what you want. Just sayin :?
