So, I've got these 2 friends who moved back after 6 years, and boy, did they change. One of them is a guitarist, and damn good. (though, he could cut back on the shredding) and the other is a drummer, a punk/jazz fusion drummer. I was kept in the dark about this for some reason, but I just hung out with them today, and I think the gears started turning between the 3 of us.

The drummer is going back to his old house tomorrow to pick up his drumset most likely. I may not have to rely on my other drummer friend, Mr.Ol-Not-So-Reliable.

As long as you hold on to your mariachi bass player I'm still excited to hear the results.

The same thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago. I started receiving pic messages:drum set, guitars, amps. I texted back "Who is this?" After a few more texts, I found out it was an old high school buddy that I used to play in a band with back in the day, which was 1988-1992. We jammed at parties together occasionally, when we just happened to be there. ANYWAYS, he is one of the best drummers I know. He has great dynamics. He can play a soft blues shuffle or he can double bass like Lars Ulrich, I kid you not. I'm real excited to hook back up with him after all these years. We've only jammed once at his house so far, but I see more to come in future.

I'm hoping it works out as well. He sent a pic of his drum set today. Super excited, even though he lives 20 minutes away, and in a town house
