guys this may sound stupid or clever (not sure which yet) i'm gonna start an AA based group on people with very bad GAS (only if you guys want to get over it of course ;) ) ... basically the idea is whenever we have a sudden impulse to buy something we write the experience down here.. what do you guys think????? i personally think our wives will be thankful ;) i'll start to give an example of a true story that happened today...

well i was searching for used gear on the internet today to see if i could get a good deal on a 100 watt amp for me to use live... i don't have a lot of cash so i'll just take what i can get i'm just really sick and tired of having to use the preamp on my ME-70... now here comes the sad part... while i'm working on this i'm also trying to get some guitar parts together for a strat build... i already have a few parts but i found an amazing squier stratocaster SE to use as a modding platform for 80 euros... i think to myself... should i buy it??? but i need an amp... for my band to keep going i need to rock out to something i wanna be heard!!... but the guitar i wanna build is the guitar of my dreams.... and so comes the bittersweet feeling of when i find that strat but i don't find a used amp for me to use live... i kept my eye on the target but it still feels bad... and thats why i want to start a thread where we can share similar experiences

Good idea or bad, it'll never work. Who's gonna take a guitar down off the wall at GC, start feeling the intense pressures of serious G.A.S., then run home to write about it while someone else buys that guitar..?

Not me. But then I don't want to be cured. 67 (I think) guitars and counting... and going on 40 amps... wanna just borrow one?

67 guitars and 40 amps ....
The mind reels.

I'm thinking you should compile a pair of itemized lists and show some pics of both herds.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Let's see the details of your twelve-step plan.

Actually, I am pretty close to being able to do just that as I have been taking serious pics of both herds, editing, cropping and getting all of them ready for insurance purposes. I have about 6-7 guitars with no pics yet and 3 amps with no pics yet, but since I take them outside and it's been in the 90s for weeks, I'm still waiting for the right (cool) day.

But soon!
