My point was to be original and unique, Tatoo's were once the domain of an individualist ..One who very much ran cross the grain....Followed their own drummer..
Today's Tattoo scene is pretty much follow the bunch.....

Just for s---ts and giggles Google how many peacock tattoo's you can find on the net...
If more than 15 and 20 then I would find a more creative SRV statement....
Just remember they are permanent and once done you had best be pleased or else... :?

I've never heard any music that moves me like SRV does. The man was a master guitarist and bluesman. His music inspired me to really learn the guitar - not just a few chords and basic strumming that was in the country music I listened to. He opened the door for me to discover Clapton, ZZ Top, and the blues in general, something I had never been open to or interested in before. I've been thinking about getting a tattoo sort of in his honor.

Stevie had this chest tattoo done of a peacock when he was 19 after a night of heavy drinking. My low pain tolerance (and hairy chest) means I won't be going for that exactly, but I really like the design and I think it's a lot cooler than John Mayer's "SRV" tattoo:

So, after lots of internet searching, I was able to come up with exactly one person who had a well-done copy of the peacock tattoo, on her chest. From the two angles she posted, I was able to construct (read: copy/paste in MS paint) a decent version of the tattoo that I'm thinking of getting:

Simple enough to be relatively inexpensive and still well-done, yet elaborate enough to be interesting in its own right. I want to get it on my left forearm (fretting hand) at some point, hopefully in the next year if I can get my foot in the door at a decent job after college.

Thoughts? Opinions? Criticisms, friendly words of warning?

If you've got any music / artist related tattoos, here's a good place to show them off too!

Brian, an old and very good friend of mine is a tatoo artist in L.A.. He did my tat's. I don't have any opinions or criticisms and the only friendly warning would be to pick a tattoo artist with a solid performance record if only because of the possibility of infection. Post pics please when you get your tat Bro. 8)

Anything worth sharing on this forum? It'd be cool to see 'em!
