Having been around for a few years, I've seen changes, ups and downs and slow periods. just IMHO, there have been a lot more argumentive threads and an increasing number of trolls. Anytime they show up, if they're just ignored, they'll go away.

I know a few old timers I stay in contact with who don't come around anymore for these reasons.

Rain Man, now that there's funny ! ! !

I still consider myself a new member. Just joined last December. Hopefully my post haven't "bored" people too much. I post alot about my personal experiences because that's all I know. Even though I've been playing for quite a few years I still consider myself a novice when it comes to guitars. I can put on new strings, set the intonation and do a little minor neck adjustment, but that's about it. That's why I haven't posted much on the tech side of things.
I have read many helpful post by some very intelligent people. I've also read some very entertaining stories as well. I'm thankful for those.
JMHO but this forum is still the best in my book.

Speaking of the crapper, life is like taking a dump. The job isn't complete until the paperwork is done.

As always, this is merely IMO where YMMV.

Don't like what's going on? Take a vacation from the forums.

Go outside and do something new, practice harder, meet some new people who play, write some new music, etc. You'll be back in school shortly and whinging about that soon enough.

I don't see what all the fuss is. Read the posts you enjoy. Ignore the posts you don't enjoy.

Be grateful Fender is still in business and providing this forum!

I'm happy with the forum the way it is.

...I just ignore the bad stuff and enjoy the good stuff!

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

Guys, am I reading it right, are Rain Man and TormentaFuego the same individual? And we've seen him around recently under other IDs as well, yes?

I wonder if the real Rain Man would have chosen that username for himself? Or if that's the sort of thing you only do if you're just faking it? Odd kind of thing to want to pretend to be...

Cheers - C

Wasn't Rain Man an idiot savant? Maybe in this case just idiot?

Just asking.

Yes, they are one and the same person. They/he have been reported to Brad (again) who has banned all previous incarnations (greenheart/shweeson/Nowhwere man). The troll keeps coming back using different IP addresses to sign up, making it difficult for Brad to track him.
