Agree with Violin Parent - there are so much greater possibilities nowadays. All reasons to cheer up  Got my first guitar at 14 - and got my hands on an old book with some chords in it, and tried it out. Did not think of guitar playing as a possible way to make a living , though some was impressed by my progress. Later that was increasing because I met other players and formed bands. But compared to the information wealth of today, we did not have much to learn from.
BUT - I think perhaps we had an advantage : We were 'forced' to listen to the music and try to find out on our own, how we could make 'those sounds' we liked. I think more kids should do that- not just watch Youtube :D But that is a great tool , when you're stuck.....
Zappa was 18 when he started plaing the guitar

I have to disagree. In the 5+ years that I've been here
I've read a lot of interesting 'stuff'. I guess it's like that
old adage, the more you put into it, the more you'll get
out of it?

Kid you need to get off the computer and go outside and do something. Go ride a bike or play baseball or something. Maybe go fishing. Theres more to life than playin the guitar and looking at the computer.

SK, the title is a little offensive to the ones who are posting.
Incidently, you do realize that this is not an actual place, yeah? Just treat it like a newspaper mate. Flick through once a day, if nothing interests you, just move on ...easy.

I agree that it's great for you to have reached the level you have so early.

Goodonya ...Mark.

The most boring thing on this forum right now are those firestorm guitars. Tedious.

If you want to visit a really dead and boring Forum, click on over to TalkFender. That place is dead, dead, dead. Maybe you could spice it up a little, SK. Start another "sad" thread... it would fit right in. :|

It has been slow lately. I think it's about time for another epic build/rebuild from one of our Master builders.

You're just upset that there aren't more girls here. I know Tessa broke your heart, just for the record, she never even realized it.
