Hello ,all.
1.Just returned from Oslo - where I watched Bruce Sringsteen & the E-Street Band live - an incredibly great performance for 40.000 spectators. They played for almost 4 Hours!! Nils Lofgren delivered a fantastic solo on one the songs ( don't remember the name of that song) The Boss was really on a peak that day (yesterday :) ) -unbelievable energy , and a true musical passion. I even thought the Boss played some solo's a bit inspired by Tom Morello (IMO)
He also did ' My City of Ruins' with a hint to the tragedy at Utöya/Government quarter (exactly one year ago today)

3.I think Springsteen played 3 teles - seemed to me as at least 2 of them had hotrails? Surprised me - does anyone know if it is so ?
4.Right now , it has been a memorial concert in Oslo- for the terror-actions 22 of july 2011 - and The Boss showed up! He brought Little Steven -and sang 'We shall overcome' ! Thumbs up,Bruce ! :D Thanks for a great weekend :D

Fantastic! I was going to go to Oslo for this but couldn't afford it. Always a fantastic show with The Boss though, true entertainer. My Moms partner runs trips to his shows so I'm lucky enough to have seen him a few times, my little brother has one of his harmonicas!

Looks like you had a fantastic time!

On a side note how amazing are his band also, they have to know so many songs from his catalogue to be able to play whatever he fancies on a whim!

He played for more than 3 hours in Zurich. You see so much joy, so much playfulness on stage, it's amazing. Such a power, there is almost no comparison nowadays.

Cheers

David

Yes , Snowjoe- I was lucky to experience this happening :D Trying to get a glimpse of the 'old greats' whenever it is possible! My first Springsteen-concert , and it was memorable and life-enhancing  A shame that the money stopped you from being there , but you seem to have the possibility later....and you've been lucky enough to see him several times  -and your little brother seems to be a lucky guy !
Yes, the band is magnificent . He also brought a row of 6 (?) horns ! And he was taking wishes from the audience - and-, as he said, 'lucky Oslo! This one has not been played on this tour - so this is for you only' -laughing and started with something looked as a band-rehearsal - arranging it on that spot  and , of course , it turned out great! That song was 'Ain't good enough for you'
