Hey Rhumba: when you follow the link ( http://archive.kpft.org/ ) does it open the page at KPFT's website? If so, you then need to scroll down a little till you see "Howlin' The Blues" on the left of the page and "Sunday, July 22, 2012 2:00 pm" in the middle. Over the right side of that line you will see a button, "Play".

Perhaps computers deal with the next bit differently. On mine I get a dialogue box asking me if I want to "save". Click that, and another one appears offering, "open". Click that and then your computer's player of choice (Quicktime, Windows Media Player or whatever) should open and the show will start playing.

(I suddenly realise how much neater the BBC's website is at doing that stuff! Thank you, BBC iPlayer...)

Anyhow. Well worth it. Nice music in the show, and of course... Rebecca/texasguitarslinger doing her thang! It don't get more cool than that! :D

Cheers - C

Doc thanks for posting that archive. TGS well done. Congrats on the regionals. Come a long way from the shy 17 year old that I first saw on YouTube and your 1st KOB. I am rooting for you next month. Alot of good will come of this regardless of how you finish. Do your best and let God take care of the rest.
Your fan... Dan...

Thanks Ceri, Yeah I can do all that up to the point were I press play and then there is just....nothing. Maybe it will appear as a download sometime or I might get to hear it some other way. Ah well, she still has my best wishes for the future anyway. :D

First off, thanks everyone for all the positive feedback and for taking the time to listen in! Sorry I've posted in here sooner, I just got wrapped up this week and haven't had much forum time.

She said she was gonna stick with her Strat for the Grand Finals. I don't think she'll stick to the LP, once the new wears off. She'll just be able to have a pallette of sounds to choose from now. When I got my LP, I played it for a month before pulling the Strat back out. Now they both get equal play time.

I'm pretty excited about the LP, but I'm definitely sticking with Strats (especially the Strat) for now and for the trip. The LP will just give me some extra tones to use, and honestly last time I was in the studio I was dying for a different (more Gibson-y) guitar tone for some of the rhythm parts. I just like it when different recorded guitar tracks are actually guitars that sound different from each other.

No vocals yet. When Brad said "come out and hear her sing" I just about fell over. Trust me, right now at least, you really don't want to hear me sing! I'm working on it, but it's a lot harder for me than playing guitar ever was.

You remember correctly, it's the same song. It's actually the only original solo acoustic song I have at the moment. I'm going to have to write one fairly quickly for the Grand Finals though. Cool that it sounded better, I think the only change might have been more practice since everything else was relatively the same.
