......missed it. Bummer. Sounds like TGS performed splendidly though, it is what we have come to expect from the young master......

Sweet!

I believe there are quite a few Forum members who are part of that Strat used on her recording. Unfortunately, with all things business-like, she may be obliged to go over to the company sponsoring the contest. It's the old 'he who pays the piper rule.' :?

She said she was gonna stick with her Strat for the Grand Finals. I don't think she'll stick to the LP, once the new wears off. She'll just be able to have a pallette of sounds to choose from now. When I got my LP, I played it for a month before pulling the Strat back out. Now they both get equal play time.

Agree...I have a gorgeous LP, ten years old now, maybe been out of its case 5 times. A powerful guitar and special gift from my wife. Started on Strats 50+ years ago and nothing but those guitars ever felt right. Own 4 presently.

Well I missed it too, but I noticed on the stations web site that they archive the broadcasts. I'll check in a few days to see if it's there.

Do search for it. She sounded splendid. Articulate, well-poised. She's had a lot of support by active blues organizations and players. It would be great if there were a future for her. Unless she intends to be a purely instrumental performer, for blues Ishe's going to have to put some vox into her work which may be there, but I have not heard any as of yet.

The website link is www.kpft.org. It's a Houston public radio station.

For guys that are a little slow like me, here's a link that takes you to their On Demand page. http://archive.kpft.org/
Go down the list to the Howlin The Blues show, Sunday 7/22, starts at 2pm, Rebecca comes on about a third the way through. Good job on the acoustic song Rebecca!

Great to hear of someone doing well, always a pleasure when somebody in the forum does something special. Couldn't get to hear the show, maybe it doesn't happen for us over here in the UK but it sounds like everything went good.
Fantastic!! I hope you go all the way. :D

Go back through the posts and you'll find the link to the archivies of the radio station and you can pick it up there.
