Good morning everyone......I have the coffee brewing and some Muddy Waters on the player.

It has been raining all morning, which is good and I hope it to be a cooler day. I am off soon to rehearsal at church with the new strat and then back home to play some more. The Leslie cabinet and Fender Greta are working great....some real unique tones. With all this great gear maybe some day I'll join a blues band! Anyway.....I hope you all have a great day.

....until next week.

Good morning Beaubs and all. This morning I'm off to go to one or two guitar stores, I need to try a few acoustic guitars. :D Also I wanted to kick off this saturday morning with a short acoustic version of "fishing blues" if you don't mind the mistakes and the lousy playing. Have a great weekend everyone.

Love me some Saturday mornings. Working on my 2nd cup of coffee, read a little from Solomon's Proverbs, now I ready to plan out the day. Playing tonight at Church, gonna fire up the Tele through some serious pedal boardage out to my 2x12 Princeton.

Mornin' all. Just got back from breakfast with Mrs. b, and I'm draining another cup of coffee, (I think this cup has a hole in it, It's almost gone already  ). Going to help set up for an outdoor Praise jam tonight our road band is playing. Hoping the rain holds off, it's been raining last two days and we need it. Have a great weekend all.

82 degrees and climbing here. We're to be back in the 90s again after one lousy day in the 80s that followed weeks of 90+ temps. It gets worse, though, as Sunday, Monday and Tuesday are supposed to be above 100 degrees - not something to look forward to here in the parched Midwest.

On a happy note, I did run to Menard's and then to GC this morning. I bought a new wood toilet seat at Menard's and then a much nicer (traded in yesterday during the Used Expo) wood product at GC, complete with HSC. I'm back home now in the A/C to watch a little British Open on the DVR while I polish the latest acquisition!

What did you trade the toilet seat for? Another toilet seat?

I'm a little hungover this morning so the coffee is particularly welcome today. I'm back in my hometown for the weekend. Got up on stage last night for a jam with a few of the home-town boys that I grew up with. I didn't bring any gear with me but they had a rented DRRI and somebody's Chinese Squier Strat and a single pedal (BOSS SD-1) for me to use. As usual the DRRI was a sweet sounding little amp but I was pleasantly surprised by how well the Strat played. It took both set breaks to get the thing intonated and set up properly as somebody (probably someone with OCD, ) had really messed with it, setting all the saddles in a perfectly straight line both intonation wise as well as regards saddle height. They did not follow the contour of the neck radius. It was frustrating at first as the intonation required me to stay below the 5th fret before it started to be too far out of pitch but by the 3rd set when I had gotten everything close enough to live with for a night I was developing a new respect for the Chinese Squiers. It reminded me of those older Squiers that I liked so many years ago. I'm sure glad I had that lone 1.5mm allen key in my glove-box for the saddle height screws. The bass player had a screwdriver in his bag of gig-goodies for the intonation. We'll be doing it again tonight but I don't think I'll be drinking as much beer.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

No way, I recorded this recently and I thought, what the heck, let's post it just for the fun of it. It might even encourage others to do the same. :D

Greetings from Bangkok, Thailand. Hot and humid, threat of afternoon showers -- just like south Florida. My guitars are half a world away. :(
