OK ... That does it!!
I'm getting a beer fridge AND a wine chiller. I ain't gonna be out done by no upstart young whippersnapper!!! And ya see that window? That's gonna be a doorway to the 420-friendly outdoor "spark-up" shelter with adjoining massage room adjacent to the hot-tub.

Congrats! I miss having a man cave - i'm currently travelling around Australia with little more than a hand-luggage suitcase and a laptop, so I've had to give up having a permanent practice space. Will definitely be making some kind of music den when I get home to the UK ;)

Oh Oh....no way I can top that :) I should point out that a drawback to my man corner and wine cellar (other than too much drinkin' and too little playin') is that several of my recordings have either the sound of the furnace, air conditioner or dehumidifier as part of the vocal tracks

You live up to your name, man! I've had several BMW cars during the years - and your guitar/music department reminding me of those: Nice and tidy - it is all where it is supposed to be. Everything first class.
Since my whole house is a 'man cave' (according to another musician , or-as he said- boy-room  ) - I have a separate music room , or studio, if you like . Not nearly as tidy ! But i will keep this room in mind for future reference , if I should apply some changes :D

Thought you fellows might be interested in these posters.

They are hand drawn with an HB pencil by a guy named Micheal Keirstead. The "Jam" posters are not limited and anyone can get them (Google it) but I also have #140 (of 500) of a limited run poster of Stevie that is no longer available.

I see your Line 6 back there. I left mine back in NYC in the capable hands of a friend of mine who is still gigging seriously. It's too damn heavy for me to haul around any more and I'm going to have limited space for my current gear as it is as I alluded to in earlier comments. These pics are great and I am going to use them as evidence as I prostitute  my cave case appeal to my wife [attorney and judge- retired].

The Line-6 (AX2-212) doesn't get much use these past 6 or 7 years or so. It mostly just sits there collecting dust. It used to get a whole lot of use back when I was playing in a cover band. It never once did any single tone perfectly but I was able to get a reasonable facsimile of pretty much any guitar tone you can name which was perfect for playing covers. Just a couple foot taps and I go from twangy compressed slapback to 90's style grunge to SRV Fender breakup with or without the screamer to U2 verb and delay to Zaak's chorus upon chorus upon chorus to Eddie's brown and all points in between and even a few points that are nowhere in between. The best thing about it was that (besides the considerable heft) it was a plug n' play rig. Plug it in .... done. As I get older and my tone-snob cells become more dominant and I play less metal and more blues and blues based rock I find it just don't cut it and never really did except for being versatile and easy to tweak. If it was worth anything I'd sell it but I seriously doubt I could get more than 150 bucks for it so it sits there waiting for company to come and want to play.

Ditto on this. Mine started out as an AXSys and was upgraded. It was worth more to me to give to a friend who had had one in the past, desired the re-acquaintance, and greatly appreciated the gesture. I'd tell you what I swapped out for it but if I did you'd have to kill me, so we'll leave it right there. That was before 2007 and my now five years immersion in this Forum and what I learned from it. If I had it to do over again, we wouldn't be talking about this now.

IIRC, the AXSys only differed from the AX2-212 in the software. And maybe a little green in the graphics.

Ditto...and there were some sounds on the original software which I preferred. They also bailed out of the idea of continually upgrading that amplifier and went into the Flextone series next. I know people who were pleased with some of the stuff they were able to wring out of the AXSys/AX2-212's. Unfortunatedly dealers won't touch 'em in trade because there's no demand. The equity still remains with tube amps.

Didja notice the Amp Can next to the Line-6? That was an idea that never came to fruition. I actually figured I might take an electric guitar when I went out camping with the boys and the dirt bikes. Never happened yet and doesn't look like it ever will. I still take an acoustic with me for the evening fire. Another piece of gear with no resale value.
