finally.... after years of being a dead fan (bought my first dead lp in 1969) i got to see the furthur show in rochester hills last night. i have heard the stories of the inconsistency of the dead shows over the years, so i didn't know what to expect.

what a show- from the opening "iki iko" and "loose lucy", to the encores of "us blues" and "brokedown palace" it was a magic night. the music and vocals were great, and lots of people dancing around in their tie-dyes.

i know they are taking a break from touring right now, but check them out if you get a chance....about 3 hours worth of good vibes

bob weir and phil lesh were the only dead members there. the supporting musicians were great.

i sat next to a gent who has gone to hundreds of dead shows over the year. he told tales of jerry's struggle to sing on many nights, and how you never knew what you would get. at the end of this show, he said it was one of the better concerts he has seen

I've been to many, many dead shows, yes some nights were on, some nights were off, some nights were just plain magical. Glad you got a good show!
