This might be sacriligeous here, but does anyone thing that matching headstocks on Fender guitars would look sweet?

I guess limited runs or guitars made in Japan have had this from time to time (or are those fake?).

Like, a black strat or tele with rosewood fingerboard. I think the maple headstock sticks out. I think a black tele with rosewood fingerboard and matching glossy black headstock would be totally sweet. And they could put a shiny silver Fender logo on it.

Would it not be a Fender if it had a matching glossy headstock?

if fender placed "Fender" on it its a fender :P maybe not traditional but its still a fender.

There are matching headstocks in the custom shop, as well as FSR runs I think. Right now I'm looking at a Custom Jazzmaster built by Master Builder John Cruz, with a matching headstock, it's hanging on my wall.

Unfortunately it's a picture, in my calendar  looks sweet :D

I do like some of the matching headstocks. There is only 1 type of headstock I really dislike and thats the 70's style oversized strat headstock.

Many may call this blasphemy but I think it's horrible

I like it. It's of the time, extravagant.

As for matching headstocks I like them as well. Particularly in light colours.

I like matching headstocks with a rosewood fingerboard. Any time it's a maple fingerboard, I like the maple headstock. That might just be me though.

"Sacriligeous" is a bit strong, but I never liked them.

I am not a strict Fender traditionalist like some on this board (Arjay), so I don't mind them, on the right guitar:

Those are my three. The Strat and the Tele are both MIM FSR models, with the Flame Strat being one of only 250 made in 2002-3 for a Canadian distributor.

I generally like them. My custom Strat has a matching headstock, but it's white blonde. So it's much more subtle than some brighter colors.
