Made this with the help of a backing track from Guitar Center.

Second Hand Blues

88 Standard Strat with Samarium Cobalt Noiseless pickups and 500k pots.

Amp was a Mustang II.

Used the latest version of Audacity on a windows 7 notebook.

The backing track was over three minutes but I think my lead repertoire was exhausted in about 45 seconds. :?

I tend to like everything I play - good or bad - so honest, even Simon Cowell type brutally honest, criticism is welcome.

Cheers,

Well, you didn't make it sound like just another rendition of the pentatonic scale, like I would have. But, other than that it's pretty good.
Seriously, I couldn't tell you exactly what to do to make it better other than the normal, tighten it up, play with more confidence, maybe do some processing to separate the guitar parts more as your overdubs come in and out. But it sounds pretty good. Good job!

I was able to listen to the track in its entirety without wanting to pull my hair out!

When the track ended, I was and still am rockin' out to the rhythm and melody of the song in my head -- it stuck.

Sweet sounding strat!

Nice job!

+ what Drew36t said, plus a subtle whammy to offset and then accent the smooth a bit towards the end of the track.
