People put society and all its matters over their actual lifes. Their not real, they just let it take controll over their lives.

I applaud anyone, particually from my generation, who actually try to find themselves, and disregards what society says.

Sounds like a bunch of hippie talk to me.

And it sounds pretty good.

Inner peace...priceless.

Very true. People are pressurised into conforming to an ideal and when they don't fit the ideal but are different they get stick for it.

Don't listen to anything society says, remember this is the very same society that has caused the worst economic crash in generations due to unrestrained greed and ruined many families financially and morally.

Do what you think is right, not what society tells you is right. For the simple reason they won't bail you out if you land in the $@!&.

So I just got back from a bit of a walk, through some parks and into the hills, only 8 miles round but a lot of my panic is health related and it sure is reassuring to know I can still walk out 8 miles without breaking a sweat.

I also turned the iPod off when I got out of town, if you're in the country you may as well experience it, saw some lovely birds of prey around the farmland.

While I'm on the topic of finding yourself, I've always wanted to find a nice little area next to the river, away from town, and just stay there for a couple of days with nothing but a couple of notepads and my guitar. Completeley cut off from anything and everything. Thatd be a great way to explore your natural side I reckon.

Yeah, I wanna do that this spring holidays.

They're a nightmare aren't they? During the first 3-4 months of being diagnosed with panic disorder I was absoluley paranoid about everything.
But luckily I learned how to recognise them right before they happen and diminish there symptoms. I'd say 80% of the time it works.

Yep the best piece of advice I've been given is to just allow the panic and force yourself not to flap or run away, just let it build and you then realise that it only builds so far, that it won't kill you or make you lose your mind.

Great post by the OP. This gives backup to an argument I've made for some time now. I love the internet and all the advancements we've made in communications over the past few years. The problem today is young people (and a a lot of older ones) spend too much time on the internet and TV and don't ever experience the real world around us. We just returned from a several hundred mile road trip with two grand children. They were content to sit in the back seat and mess with their I-pad, I-phone, and whatever other I gadgets they had brought with them and probably didn't see a fraction of the interesting countryside were passing through. You can read about falling from a tree (on your I-pad), but some how it will never really replace the sensation you get by really falling from a tree. Same goes for getting outside and feeling, smelling, and experiencing the world around you. :)
